A listing that costs nothing to download. Free is a real part of how FiveM servers get built — some of the most widely used resources in the ecosystem are free and open — and a free script is not a lesser script. What changes when you do not pay is less often the quality than what you can expect afterwards.
New servers finding their feet, and established ones filling a small gap without opening a wallet. If you are starting out, you can get a long way on free and open resources before you need to spend anything at all.
Support, first. A free script usually comes with no obligation on the developer's part to answer when it breaks, so what you are really getting for your time is the code — which makes it worth checking that the source is actually open and readable, rather than escrowed. If you can read it, you can fix it; if you cannot, a free script that stops working is simply gone. Look at the update history for signs it is still alive, and read the code for anything it sends off your server. A free resource that phones home is not free.
